As a Wisconsin-based organization, Jane is pleased to share the new Sexual Violence & Harassment Awareness, Prevention & Response website maintained by the University of Wisconsin System. Launched earlier this month, UW System President Ray Cross describes the website as “provid[ing] ready access to a range of support services, reports, and other resources both at our institutions and at the System level and beyond.”
Under the Get Help and Resources tabs, visitors will not only find information on support services for survivors of sexual violence or harassment but also resources for friends and colleagues, an FAQ, and glossary of terms. Wisconsin-based services, such as End Abuse Wisconsin, WCASA, and FORGE—as well as national sexual violence resources and prevention initiatives—are linked via this site; each organization or program link is accompanied by a brief description of the services provided there. UW System policies and resolutions, state statues and provisions, federal laws and policies, and an assortment of reports and statistics are also easily accessible elsewhere on the site.
This website provides a wide variety of resources, many of which may well be of value to any UW community member, whether or not they have been or believe themselves to be at risk of sexual violence or harassment. Please share widely.
